Sarah Bero, founder of Bero Environmental Consulting (BEC), has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and brings nearly a decade of experience supporting and developing projects in the renewable energies sector. Prior to the creation of BEC, Sarah worked with the Utah Clean Cities Coalition, a resource of the U.S. Department of Energy.
She then served as an Environmental Consultant for several years at a highly reputable firm based out of Los Angeles, working in the stringent world of California regulations, compliance, and permitting for numerous projects in the solid waste and recycling industry. These projects included complex air permits (Title V), conducting emissions analysis, Solid Waste Facility Permits, Stormwater compliance with the Industrial General Permit, Hazardous Waste Materials Reporting, CEQA/NEPA approvals, technology evaluations, feasibility studies, Conditional Use Permits (CUP), and project development.
To further develop and support sustainable projects, Sarah established BEC in February 2023 with a focus on permitting and supporting the development of renewable energies and sustainable waste management in some of the most stringent jurisdictions. BEC has expanded to work on several projects within various states across the US and would love to help you with your next project!
